Wasteland
A flat, bleak wasteland
For me to cross.
The eternal wasteland of life.
How did I come to arrive at this place?
This place of despair and fear.
Tentatively I begin my quest -
One treacherous step
Follows another.
To cross this wasteland of endless time,
Will take more strength than mine.
I see her, standing a world away,
The one for whom I search.
But too far away for me to reach,
I'm trapped here with no release.
I fear I must lose her, my one true love.
Here I'll lose my life.
Trapped in my world of nothing,
This is my fate, my reality,
And here is where I die.
