Lost
All those times I said to you:
I could not find my way
In life, you stared blankly,
With a complacent smile that lasted all day.
You never took me seriously,
You never understood.
I was lost and could not tell
Night from day or bad from good.
I couldn't see the point of life,
I wandered - truly lost.
But you were never there for me,
And you never considered the cost.
I was always lost in life,
And you made sure I was not found.
You never noticed all my pain,
You never made a sound.
I loved you, and I needed you
To help to bring me home.
But you abandoned me, and left me helpless!
You left me all alone.
But I want you to know I've found someone
Who brought me back to life.
I'll abandon you like you abandoned me,
My pain will cut you like a knife.
