The Round Table
A circle of stone,
Frozen in time.
A symbol of balance,
Between justice and crime.
A circle of gold,
Wrapped in rich, golden hair.
The symbol of power,
Of a life without care.
A circle of graves,
The sign of the poor.
A symbol of questions -
What is poverty for?
A circle of magic,
A symbol of art.
Entertaining the rich,
With absolutely no heart.
A circle of bronze,
A shield used in wars.
Used to cull nations
To settle meaningless scores.
A circle of symbols,
Completing this rhyme.
And thus Arthur lives,
A 'hero' frozen in time.
