Heat
I remember the heat
Of your hand on mine.
It embraces me still,
Though the years have moved on.
I remember the light
That our love gave out.
It blinded me, and held me there,
In the dawn of our passionate love.
I remember the depth of your sweet eyes,
The feel of your silky hair.
Your image imprinted on my mind,
You'll be with me always, my love.
I remember the love that bore me aloft
On the wings of ecstacy.
You were my bird, you were my wings,
Together we soared through the heavens.
I remember how you made me feel,
When you spoke of your love for me.
You made me feel warm, you made me feel free.
You put me on top of the world.
I remember your kisses that brushed my lips,
That filled my heart with fire.
And even now I feel this way,
I'll watch you grow old with me.
