I Swear
A sea of mist rolled over the ground,
Surrounding us with dew -
A mist of thick, cloud-like fog,
Until I couldn't see you.
Separated for one bleak moment,
Lost for all of time.
For in that moment you left my life -
And I never knew my crime.
I searched for you all my life -
But never found you there.
I used to dream you'd return to me,
And kiss me, full of care.
And still today I live in hope,
That my dream may still come true.
I pray my search was not in vain,
I swear - I will find you.
