This Darkness of Ages
This darkness hides me,
This darkness of ages.
The light dims as life fades,
The darkness enters and fills my pages.
This darkness hides me,
This darkness of ages.
Life tumbles down,
Though we build it in stages.
This darkness hides me,
This darkness of ages.
Life is only short,
And time betrays us.
This darkness hides me,
This darkness of ages.
There is no way to stop darkness,
Though we pray to him to save us.
This darkness hides me,
This darkness of ages.
I write down the darkness,
Our fear as it rages.
But this darkness will hide me,
This darkness of ages.
For me, darkness is freedom,
I live for its sageness.
This darkness always hides me,
This darkness of ages.
This darkness hides me,
This darkness of ages.
