Snow
A drop of rain, a drop of my tears,
Falling together, combined through the years.
When winter comes it turns to snow,
Falling on the grave of the love who had to go.
So long ago now, you left my side,
I was alone - an abandoned bride.
I never healed from the pain of your death,
I could still hear your voice, feel your breath.
I still went to your graveside every day,
Praying that this pain might still go away.
And the snow came and covered my tears,
My silent song broken by the weight of my fears.
The snow makes everything pure and white,
Your existence is covered, out of sight.
But I know the truth, you'll always be there,
Under the ground, in this world of despair.
The snow falls, my tears they freeze,
My pain subsides, no one else would believe.
For the snow became your beautiful face,
Come back for now to reclaim your place.
By my side each winter day,
And while there's snow you won't go away.
