    My Hero

    I came to you,

    You saw my tears fall.

    And so you came to my aid,

    And answered my call.

     

    You charged to my battle,

    Never questioning why.

    You fought my demons

    With no fear to die.

     

    To rescue me,

    You gave your life -

    To free my soul

    And end my strife.

     

    And so to my knight

    In armour shining -

    I was the cloud,

    You the silver lining.

     

    I never meant

    For you to die;

    But I caused your death,

    And for that, I'll cry.

     

    I'll always love you

    For what you did, and so:

    Thank you, my knight -

    You are my hero.
