"A Thanksgiving Thank You"
"A Thanksgiving Thank You"
they sailed the ships of brotherhood
bound together with the glue of shared experiences
sails made of courage
held high by common valor
a valor shared by all
through battle after battle
hardships after pain and illness
a mighty fleet they made
a fleet of heroes all
bonded by years of war
and hardship
they were mighty in their bravery
beautiful in the love they held for each other
come through the common battles for freedom
evil reared it's head and nations joined together
in common their hatred of the hate
so many brainwashed peoples shared
misled by their leaders who were the spawn of satan
Hitler, Hirohito, and others who followed them
needed to be smashed and never seen again
their ilk still live but thankfully they scurry in gutters
like the evil vermin they are
those that sailed the ships of freedom
made these ships of brotherhood
bound together by a common goal to set this world free
their sails made of the courage of battle hardened men
men and women who saw the face of evil
and stared it down
stared it down without flinching
by satan Hitler was most certainly possessed
insane as were his kind
Hirohito was God? give me a break
bands of people, brothers and sisters from everywhere
determined to stop these bigoted and grandiose morons
determined to end the killing
and they did
these ships sailed home victorious after saving the world
from the incredible dreams of evil dreamt by bigots and the greedy
funny how war and greed go hand in hand
the bravest and the greatest nations could offer
set the world free and saved nation after nation from more death
the ships of brotherhood contained the hopes of the world
bound together with the glue of love
love for what is right and for each other
uncommon solidarity and courage
unflinching in the face of evil
are just part of what make our parents part of the greatest generation
