"At The Cross"
today I saw The Son of Man
get down on His Knees for me,
with open heart I asked my Lord
to help me understand,
pure and gentle Shepherd
Who loves us though we’re lost,
why bow Your Head
before the ones that put You
on that cross?
it gives us consolation,
we leave our troubles there,
we have the expiation from
all the sins we crave,
through all the love and patience
You so freely gave,
the mystery, the wonder,
of conquering the grave,
what other supplications
do You want us to share?
“when you show derision,
when heartaches lay you low,
Look Up! to the Victor,
to help you come to know,
the lesson of redemption,
humility of the soul”
today I saw my Father’s Son
get on His Knees for me
when He lifted up His Eyes
I couldn’t help but see
we owe our Gracious Father
for everything we share,
when we create beauty,
it is our humble duty,
to always take it there,
to the cross,
we owe it to the Father’s Son,
for what He gave for everyone,
we owe it to the Son of Man,
the Sacred Symbol of The Lamb,
we love Him and He heals our hearts,
so……....thank Him for this work of art,
called life,
it is our sacred duty,
to leave our pain,
our beauty,
at the Cross
