"A Most Important Poem"

"Be In A Positive Frame Of Mind"

when you die there may come a time
to influence your immortal soul
for in the mood or temperament
in which you go
may not really matter
when all is gone sans memories
you feel nothing at all
when instinct is all you know
it is that at it's very essence
which many don't feel at all
it may be that some could be afraid
and when they die
they don't know why
they cannot comprehend
we all must dissolve our fears
and remember that
your hell or heaven is up to you
if you let fear control you
your thoughts of hell
will most definitely come true
but if you have faith
you will be strong
and turn your hell to heaven   
you might think this piece of prose
is part of Sam's delusions
the thing that convinces me
is that this one time
my writing is legible
and from this day
I hope and pray
that what I write
is somewhat believable
for I believe our destinies
are what we make of them.
