"One Thing I've Learned From You"
"One Thing I've Learned From You"
if there's one thing I've learned from you,
it's love,
your patience is a lesson I try to learn,
nothing I've done will ever earn,
your pure love and kindness,
a kind of purity I will never own,
as a child I felt such love,
from parents who had no choice,
they taught me that nature too has a voice,
of love and purity,
if there's one thing I've never earned,
it's your love for me,
the example of you to me tells me I am unworthy
of your love,
let alone the love of God,
I want to know you better,
take you to the country of love requited,
a land of love returned in full,
no matter how hard it is for me to show,
I love to love you in my life,
I love you.
