        “Forgetting”

     

    forgetting is easy

    with such peace

    stars practically touching my face

    with caresses soft as the night

    it’s so easy to forget

    the cares this world brings

    when closing one’s eyes

    in prayers that only an intimacy with nature can express

    the fingerprint of God brushes by

    painting a once frantic life

    in hues of peace, and harmony, and love.

    This is beautiful, Sam. "painting a once frantic life..." excellent line. It gives a calming feeling when reading this. You never cease to amaze me.
