"Linda, Me, And The Trombone"
she used to walk home with meup this great hill
I carried a trombone with me
I remember it still
the trombone was heavy
the walk was like light
for her presence
made it alright
if it weren't for the burden
of the heavy trombone
we could have held hands
on the way to her home
I got rid of the instrument
somehow lost sight of her
yet the memory is so pleasant
I shed a bright tear
such are the days
we wish would return
such are the ways
we deal with the hurt
of growing old lonely
for each other
