I know this isn't a great poem but that doesn't matter, the message is vastly important. Please feel free to share this write with anyone you feel it might help see the light and keep their freedom

I've known this guy since 65

went many places with him

he's been locked up since 75

what he did ruined his life

now everyone knows where he is

the life he led when he was young

should be a lesson to many others

don't do a crime for the joy it brings

will not last and the thing of it

is your life wrecked and spent in jail

think of how hard life could be

if you do a wrong when not very old

thing of how life would be if you were no longer free

and lived inside gray walls so cold

he's been locked up since age 27

and just last week turned 64

he may spend many more years

no one knows if he'll ever get out

his greatest of fears

to die in prison is sadly what might come to be

don't do the crime

don't do the time

what it might bring

won't last too long

and satisfaction will soon be gone

and so will you

if not dead

the other choice

to be somewhere

where no one

can hear your voice
