    "My Heroes Have Always Been Cows, Boys"

    I will be editing this one until I get it right.  I just thought the idea was so different that it ought to be out there

    my heroes have always been cows, boys,
    and still are today,
    I sometimes watch cowboys feeding them hay
    Sometimes I talk cow talk
    and love it that way,

    my children want to be cows, boys,
    that's what they say 

    they speak only cow talk
    I like it that way 

    my heroes have always been cows, boys,
    I've studied their ways
    no future in cows, boys,
    they're all shipped away,

    I used to love steak, boys,
    and still love it today,
    I mustn't love cows, boys,
    there's no future that way

    Yes I love cows too. My dad used to make sure we only made pets out of the girls because the boys always ended up at themarket or the butcher. They really are not as stupid as most folks think they are, they protect each other as a group, they mourn together, they fight together and help raise one anothers calves.

    Yippy Yo Ky A Sam, what an original play on a standard title. A very Moooving write. I too have always loved cows, man. As my grandparents managed a state Dairy operation I'd pet and feed the doggies from knee high to a grasshopper. Still have to slow down, open the windows, and take long deep breaths when passing a pasture of cows... love the smell. All right, guess I'm a little unusual at that, as I also nearly stop and smell the wonderful aroma of dead skunks on the road too! You just can't take the country out of the boy.
