"My Heart Will Hang At Dawn"
"They're Gonna Hang My Heart At Sunrise"
my heart will hang at sunrise
to my relief my heart will die
feel no sympathy for this tragedy
don't ring the bells
I've escaped this hell
and look forward to the dawn
the home of peace will be it's home
and each part of my broken heart
will heal in time
will be fine
after the hanging
once it was a monster of love
full of all things good
now it longs for it's home above
and waits to die with hope
no longer subject to your moods
looking towards it's changing
I made the noose
to be sure it works
and fit just right
in the morning's light
to speed it on it's way
my heart will drop
right through the trap
to no longer rap it's hurt
just one short drop
and return once more to dirt
so hang it fast
for love don't last
when winter follows autumn rains
it only wants a death so it will no
longer feels love's pain
