" Losing My Head"
I lose things all the time
today I lost something necessary
my head
whenever I lose something
Kristine always finds it for me
today she could barely
find her own head
her father is very ill
not bedridden, but ill
she is very upset
as am I
Jack is a man
that may not seem much.
It is
next to my father
he is so close
to equal
as to be loved
the same
when my dad died
Jack's mother was dying
hospitalizd
due to die at any moment
she died
the day of my father's
funeral
the day after
my father died
I was leaving for work
totally out of my mind
with grief
My dad's name was Jack also
my father -in -law
whose mother was dying
put his arm around me
to comfort me
that is what a man should be
that is what he is
the type of person
one is
never dies
I love him as my own father
I wish I were even
a little bit of the man
he is!
