“Polluters of the Universe”
It’s no good chasing the sun,
if you can’t see the earth,
worlds are easily lost
not so easily found,
claims are won,
and lost,
by thieves that get around,
the law, places that may, or may not
be as rich as the cost of stealing
them, yet such is the greed of men,
that quite often, such worlds are
claimed many times,
by beings with no idea, not a clue,
of whether they are seeing something,
or if they are being seen through,
a claim is worthless, if you have no
hint of the surrounding worth, worlds
with life, and the wonder of purity abounding,
one may see a dream and chase it,
until one or the other, can no longer take it,
abusers of any type,
be they loggers, land rapers,
developers, of far off planets,
or polluters of our universes,
are blind like earthly moles,
throwing away the many graces,
of myriad worlds, unclouded by myopic
visions of treasures and riches,
with the grace of God,
they will see for themselves what they
have done, and hopefully learn for themselves,
what this small poem means, to themselves
and others
“I saw a dream and I chased it,
through all life’s foreign places,
I caught this dream, and embraced it,
it saw my many faces,
I lost this dream, I couldn’t take it,
I violated its graces.
