    The pain of losing valuable family members

    "Down That Old Gravel Driveway"

    down that old gravel driveway

    I take the walk I took so long ago

    I feel the very same sadness of when I had to

    let you go

    so many things, so many painful thoughts

    I miss you dad and wish I had a way to let

    you know

    how much I truly miss you so

     

    I remember Grace, her pleasant face

    and beautiful demeanor

    I miss my little sister

    in a most hurting kind of way

    it's so long since I've seen her smile

    my tears are beginning to flow

    oh Gracie, why did you have to go?

     

    down that old gravel driveway

    you told me something

    you said I needed to know

    to take care of your girls

    and never let them know

    how much it hurts

    to lose you both

    no one will ever know

    Oh My this got the waterworks to burst...Thank You for Sharin' this wonderful Poem, Sd...But written soooo Beautifully...a Keepsake of Memories written down for us to be a part of!!
