"Nothing But A Teardrop"
"Nothing But A Teardrop"
a scent of you lingers near
traces of memorial lies
I have made my mind keep clear of my eyes
no I won't shed a tear
for you don't mean that much to me
can't you see that you're not even
worth a tear
nor do I really care
that you have left me alone
you're not even a teardrop to me
the window frames the stream nearby
where willows grow but refuse to weep
verdant against a spacious sky
I still have lying memories to keep
but no tears for you
I wish that life would bring you back
clean the unshed tears from my heart
knock the truth out of my soul
and make me cry what I deny
you're nothing but a teardrop to me
rivers one can never see
inside I cry for memories of love
and you
but; if I tell the real truth
you're nothing but a teardrop to me
I wrote that you're not worth a tear
I denied that deep inside you broke my heart
but truth be told you're not here for me to hold
so you must be nothing but a teardrop to me.
a scent of you lingers near
can I hold onto that
should I just shed my tears
and sing of you inside my fears
you're nothing but a teardrop to me
