A Poet's Paradise
In deep thought I wrestle with wordssome sweet but others absurd
I meditate in this beautiful bliss
as the words paint a picture of this
a picture of a poet's dream
within a frame of unwrapped memories
a small price to pay for words unsaid
thoughts left tangled inside my head
In deep sleep I open my eyes
through windows stare into the skies
dreaming of these words unsaid
I hope you won't leave them for dead
Oblivious you were of me
you threw these words out to the sea
I recogized all of your fears
then wiped away the words with my tears
A poet's paradise trapped within
these words I now see once again
A poet's dream I once erased
but now these words I can finally face
tracing the memories I lost
seeing how much words can cost
to watch all the beauty fade
just like the words that you washed away
God was there with me
my heart was broken, you were free
peace was something I'd found
when I buried those words in the ground
How could I have let you go
you didn't even know
that these words were gone forever
you can't take them back, to just say never
