The Girl Who Wanted to Be An Angel
To touch the depths of heaven, to feel the breath of Godto see the endless beauty, that spans across the seas
to hear the angels singing, their dancing to a tune
in the heat of the summer, in the final days of june
Theirs a sad girl who cries, she is told that her grandmother has died
she asks can I be an angel , and live up in the stars
and wink for every tear, and see past all the scars
I would be the brightest star in the night
If I could be an angel , I'd be youir guiding light
and when I'm old enough to receive my wings
I'll go to a place that glorifies my risen king
I would give anything , cries this lil' girl
to be an angel up above, shining upon this world
Only 12 years old, I would give up my soul
to be the brightest star in the sky
and be that twinkle in every girls eye
If I was an angel I'd fly , hang out with the stars
walk on golden boulevards, If I was an angel I'd dance
and let every girl feel sweet romance
If i was an angel I'd be, the brightest star in the sky you see
and If i was an angel I'd ly , deep in your arms like a daughter tonight
