Constellations of Wonder
I sit under a jasmine moon glowing, shimmering in celestial beautyI awake to feel the breath of God, within this cold winter air
sleeping under heaven's stars, all of which are God's
he knows every one, every name of every constellation
He knows every crease or wrinkle in depth to the core
He sees the bloodshed in man's dying war
He knows theirs heartache for every man's sin
he knows theirs those who will never let Him in
We could all be victorious and find delight
but many choose to not step into the light
the new morning brings promise to a day of dismay
the colors of autumn's beauty fulfilling winter's array
the display underneath a mocha sky
the look of love seen through kaliedoscopic eyes
the tide of the ocean rises
the air thin cuts like a knife opening hearts wide
the blood dripping as love pours from inside
Left bleeding in a chasm of dreams
I feel my eyes closing forever, only to see
love waking in a constellation of wonder
the drumbeats of heaven rolling like thunder
Could I catch an angel with these bare hands
or feel the nails of this scarred man
under darkened midnight skies I wait
for this jasmine moon to pierce God's gate
yearning to feel the beauty as I awake
from this ethereal dream, was this but a mistake
I saw love pour from a tree, three nails , two hands , two feet
I saw the blood of eternity, a savior, a promise, Heaven will greet
greet me with a smile, no cold shoulder or heart left in denial
a love that does not dissapear like the winters snow
but lives through through the seasons this I know
