Smiles
I've saved a few smiles in a box for younot just one but more like two
theirs always room for more inside my box
open it up, their are no locks
I seal these smiles with gratitude
but with a small spice of attitude
from two parellels, longitude to lattitude
my smiles stretch across the great lakes
it's where these two points meet
we see face to face, with shining smiles
we take hands and we walk
and a smile fills your face as we talk
Gosh, How did I ever end up here
after a two hour conversation rang in my ear
Oh no did I say that was too long
oh my how we did just carry on and on
and on and on and on.........................
the phone rings , I wonder could it be her again
then a smile fills the room for my special friend
then I listen to what you have to say
and thank God that I have another day
but what is this and what is that
I guess I've hidden a few smiles under my hat
maybe have a few stashed under the bed
I hope you got a smile from what you read
