Shut up World and Listen to Me

On street corners of every city we see
beggers asking for change, they be lookin' at me
yet our conscience is overtaken by greed 
selfish we are thieves livin' in need

shut up world and listen to me
there are liars out there, they say they'll set you free
but we can see into the eyes of cold blooded killers
we play out our lives like some spine chillin' thrillers
the knife is in our hands, our blood stained clothes
 speak of the demands. We have cults like the Klu Klux Kaln
they be runnin' society takin' down the man

So I speak out against the nation
I'm here to touch hearts with Christ's salvation
I tell the world it's a liar, and throw the devil in tha fire
the burning chambers of hell as dark as this shadowed empire

Shut up world and listen to me
I got Christ in my heart, he set me free
I won't be subjected to the lies
as I stare deep into the devils eyes
they are open wide, but my heart beats inside
with every tick that goes by, there's nothin' in this world
like this love that flies; on angels wings that flutter in the mornin' skies

Shut up world and listen to me
I will not be the face upon which you spit, ya see
or the steaming pile of dung upon which you pee
I will be the christian God intended me to be

this world has no hold on me, no price
I tell the world to shut up and go about my life
this world can never buy me, or sell me, or tell me I'm dead
I won't let it take me down with the lies I've been fed

I will no longer live in the darkness , I'll live in the light
tell the world to shut up and go about my life
I seek Christ first, He puts worth into my life
the value that I attain from all that I've gained

How can I ever be ashamed
when all I got is the world to blame
I take a look at everything I am
I was given life by the eternal lamb

Now I will tell you once again
This world is full of pride and sin
but with Christ in my life I'll win
shut up world , your not my friend

I will see you in the end
once again when we meet
I will be walkin' that golden street
as I walk to the throne upon my feet

and I will kneel down and look upon His face
as I stand in glory in this holy place
I am reminded of your endless grace
the world tells me to get back in the race

but I've dropped out, cuz I can't go on
I feel weak but you've made me strong
and I'll endure until I hit that strip
I'll  carry my cross and I'll face that whip

No need for your senseless theories
evolution for scientist, not christian theologist
Now world I have chosen to speak
yet my heart may be broken and flesh may be weak  

I was given a conscience to speak my mind
though the world sees one dimension, it's color blind 
so I choose to step forward and speak the truth
Because I have listened to God and have seen the proof
