The Heart of Christmas Continues to Beat
Kids will wait eagerly until the day ,lookin upon to when santa comes the way
the heart of christmas rides upon a sleigh
on a cold brisk winter, the twenty fifth day
Inside of windows hangs boughs of holly
under the covers sleeps lil' dear molly
kids dreaming of a santa clause thats jolly
resting near is your ol' buttoned dolly
candy canes dangle from a lit pine tree
the beauty of christmas ever shining
kids awaiting presents from santa to be
waiting for them on the morning to see
the birthday of Christ, this twenty fifth day
the heartbeat of christmas pulsating away
drops of frost on grounds where flakes lay
he was born in a manger under stars far away
songs of sweet melodies heard in the breeze
the larks and sparrows singing in the trees
the chimney top covered with lights that gleam
all the while as kids come to dream
Nearby children echo with glee
as their eyes light up as bright as the tree
waiting the day when santa will be
dropping off presents under their tree
Lil' dear Julia asleep, hears a noise
could it be santa bringing her toys
she leaps up with anticipated joys
to catch a peek at santa delivering toys
sweet lil' sienna asleep in her bed
with her dear ol' kitty next to her head
dreaming of books that's shes read
of white bearded men , in suits crimson red
and last for all the children asleep at this time
awaiting to hear the bells of his sleigh chime
cookies n' milk dear santa will find
this is the end of my christmas rhyme
