The Silence of a Teardrop
With winter comes a gentle breeze, a touch of autumns breath
With summer comes a burning heat, yet springs not over yet
the trees all dance in rythm, to a song that nature sings
the leaves and flowers coming back, the brush of angel wings
to feel the heart of heaven beating within my chest
to feel the eyes of creation on me where I rest
to know a silent teardrop can be heard when lovers cry
for where that teardrop falls another new one lies
waiting to emerge a sweet embrace of glory
I'm here to tell you about a saddened lovers story
With each waking morning, Life is brought to its feet
once quiet in the night, once quietly asleep
With each passing hour, memories will fade
another day amidst, and the teardrop will evade
The silence of this teardrop, like the silence of a dream
the silence of a merciful prayer, the silence of a deafened scream
the silence of such saddness, the silence of lost hope
the silence of a lonely tear, the silence as I cope
Lost you years ago but it seems like yesterday
I try to hide the pain, but the tears won't go away
a tragedy remembered, a memory erased
everday I picture you with that teardrop on your face
