Scripture speaks another story according to John

I was pulling out a passage and this is what I fell upon

Did I not see the clear picture, many years before

I opened up the bible, and walked through heavens door

For God so loved the world, Is What I read

He gave His only begotten son who bled

that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish,

but live forever with the One life to cherish. 

Now after all, the fact of the matter is

God sent His son to die , so we all could live

The blessings of the word become alive in me

and it's through truth I acknowledge that I'm free

It's 3:16 thats states the foundation of Christianity

If you don't know God its time to focus on reality

see the bigger one thats in me is not just me

it's a man that came and died upon calvary's tree

You see all these years I was searching for God

then it struck me like a shooting star that fell hard

God spoke, said listen to me my son Todd

it's this verse that opens the door to my heart

The pages of my life which tell a story so dark

I was living life as a christian and going to church

I was hurting inside , but still seeking Him first

It was this verse that made me realize salvation

A love thats arms open wide reaching out to the nation

It was this short passage that spoke clear truth

It's a written testament of God, my faith is proof

Now my eyes look upon with great determination

My God gives me that drive, that on-the-go motivation  

Not on that highway to hell, but the fast lane to life

I roll on the road of glory that drives my heart to Christ

No car is necessary to get me to my destination

I have found the greatest gift of all Heavens blessing of salvation

Seeing life's reflections as clear as crystals in the glass

I focus my life on the verse 3:16 which I've grasped

all general knowledge of the Holy creator that reigns in glory

the prize I seek is life eternal , this is my savior's story

A poem I inscribed with the very blood of my fingers

this is a message of truth meant to be sent to all sinners

guess if you thought about it , that would be all you billions

add up the whole christian population it might be in the millions

those that serve a God that sees a World of forgiveness

eyes of glory rest upon me and offer your repentance

I one day too will dwell in your righteous mansion

the love of an eternal God seeking a great expansion

I'll be up there with the angels all of us will be dancing

God, the Father, Christ His son and the Spirit will be prancing

like deers on snow topped chimneys, and Christmas bells will ring

the chorus of a multitude of mighty heavens choir sings

exaltations of high beauty that rings in every ear

the shadows of your love I will never ever fear

fighting a battle of peseverance and great wealth

I'm blessed to be poor , but rich in Godly health

I strive to find passion in things other than the earth

I strive to find the beauty in every child's birth

it's a simple matter that I follow this verse

I will live for Christ Jesus and always seek Him first
