Eat, Sleep and Pray

Sometimes we need some prayer
just to know someone does care
everybody everywhere , anybody anywhere
God is always there. He is always there

Stars so far and far away
In galaxies that light the way
I wish for a brand new day
I hope for all to come and pray

So make some time to eat
and make some time to sleep
maybe five minutes you will weep
just think of the rewards that you will reap

friends go tell your friends
it's time to say your amens
give your concerns to Him
let go of all the worries held within

Sometimes we wish to stay in bed
we won't open our eyes or lift our tired head
Sometimes we push away from Him instead
curse the world for mistakes, wishing we were dead

Over time know that things will be better
if I had a postage stamp I would send heaven a letter
address it to Jesus with a tight knitted sweater
wrapped up in cellophane to protect it from the weather

We need healing, we are hurt and heartbroken
so many words left unsaid, are never spoken
We need to leave our weary hearts open
and let the world know an answer is what were hopin' 

Do you believe that Jesus sees through the pain
all the heavy hearts that bleed His crimson stain  
If we would all just look to heaven, we'd all know His name
it's time we eat, sleep  and pray and never be ashamed

the time on the clock ticks away
seconds pass, then hours without delay
We are staring through the glass of yesterday
We need to kneel to Jesus, let our hearts pray
