    She Never Knew that She Was Beautiful

     She wakes in the morning and goes to the glass
    all she sees is a face of 18 years passed
    she never smiles, a frown tells her life story
    if only she knew the beauty of God's glory

    Would she realize that she is beautiful
    She just sees herself as another girl
    trapped inside a cold, bitter world
    her daddy once said she was his pearl

    She thinks about the heartache she only knows
    the friends that call her ugly , comments so harsh and cold
    She dreams of heavens beauty, as her fingers drape her hair
    She feels she isnt worthy of a love thats never there

    She never knew that she was beautiful
    In Gods eyes we all are beautiful
     she never felt like she was accepted
    was love only waiting to be ressurected

    She pitied herself into thinking
    but her shallow life was only sinking
    farther into oblivion, so far gone
    love was only a reflection through lost eyes blinking

    this poem rings with such truth... so many never realize the beauty of who they are through gods eyes alone
