    When I Close my Eyes

     Lord now lay me down to sleep, my soul to rest within to keep
    Lord now promise that I'll awake, when i close my eyes today
    Lord please show me your pierced wrists, the blood you shed for forgiveness
    Lord I ask you if I may, please bring to me a blessing this day

    When I close my eyes, I hope I will wake up to a new world
    shining in brillant, beautiful colors, alive and alluring in its presence 
    Let my mind be filled with dreams of sweet gumdrops falling off the trees
    and a chocolate sea I can drink of for the rest of eternity

    When I close my eyes let me breath in the beauty and taste the rays of the sun, and as the warmth of the day turns to a cold night let natures blanket cover me and keep me sheltered and safe. Do not let the wrath of night let me never awake to see your beauty.
