The Cross Of Redemption
Jesus took away the painsnow I embrace His stains
He hung on a cross with nails in His veins
How could there be a greater love than this
Heaven's most holy bring me a kiss
I stand tested, in a world manifested
by your hands but your love I've injested
I know theres a cross that stands on a hill
where one man came on His own free will
laid down his life as the soldiers looked on
three days hanging by nails, He held strong
Knowing that His death would bring new life
I remember that day was not the last for Christ
The soldiers laughed at Him and spit in His face
They never knew the cross was an act to erase
all the sins brought upon by cruel man
that is why Christ came and took the nails to His hands
Now I breathe a sigh of great relief
No more pressures to give in to hell's grief
I was living by this beautiful blood
the sweetness of grace and God's love
This is the story of His saving sacrifice
the unselfish act to save my life
this is the cross of redemption
need I say more, Do I have your attention
