I made the Mistake of Loving You
Fire burns and so does the pain of deathI feel weak when I see all that remains
a callouse of memories , some lives are cut short
bleeding dreams , now nightmares that wake
was this love for you a mistake
Burned once again. One hundred times
I've seen this brutal life pass me by
was there even a single tear
that i could hold inside my palm
wish I could embrace you just one last time
then I could feel the warmth upon my skin
never could i love you again
I made the mistake of loving you
walked through an open door of truth
you laid your heart encased in thorns
i trusted what i could see was love
yet it was just a mirage of a broken dream
your love passed ever so slowly through the seam
I wanted to believe that this was love
but all it seems to be was a mistake
