Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall
Blessings are having friends who will always be thereBlessings are showing others that you care
with every teardrop a dream is washed away
every teardrop is a waterfall, every waterfall a new day
your love has turned to dust, the beauty of your touch
I miss so much, forgotten memories now crushed
beads of sorrow flow like a stream
and memories flood this mind full of dreams
catching the wind in a jar of glass
I see the dreams before me flash
as I race around the garden of time
I race around as the clock hands unwind
I'm watching you through teardrops falling
and it's your name that I am calling
your flesh is so weak, these tears cut me so deep
like sharp chards of glass they protrude
and now I'm left in solitude
Oh but where are these dreams we started
left behind with the brokenhearted
and where are those memories we've lost
in those ocean of tears we have crossed
miles and miles I swim through salty tides
the waves of innocence swallow my pride
and I let go to see those water beads dance
then I think about life and how I took a chance
chasing waterfalls and catching dreams
every teardrop paints a moving scene
life is pain, wash it away with a teardrop of rain
and every time one falls please remember my name
every teardrop is a waterfall, washing away the pain
