Remember, Daddy Loves You
Livin' in the eighties , before I knew the ladiesbefore my time came to bring in the babies
These lil' girls changed me, changed my world
All I can think about are my 2 shining pearls
I want to thank God for giving me a chance
when all odds failed, I took the shot at romance
and all I can do, is simply thank you
for I'm so elated, on love fixated
flipped this world upside down
and what I found, was a love with a jeweled crown
Sitting upon my daughter's head
I kiss her face as she lays down to bed
She's only six, my other is four
I never knew a love like this before
so much can change, in just six years
I have cried so many tears
crying children, I hold them tight
keepin' them warm in the night
before they sleep, I say a prayer
to a God, who's always there
I din't know what it be like
until I had children and a loving wife
I didn't know love could be this good
a though I never understood
how much words can simply say
dear lil' girls, I'll love you more with each passing day
Remember daddy loves you, with all of his heart
I have since your first breath came to start
when you were sitting in your mother's womb
I was waiting in the hospital room
I was inside when that baby came out
that's when the tears started coming out
no words I could express
I just felt overwhelmed and blessed
Remember daddy loves you, and knows whats best
I will give it all until I have nothing left
