Tiny Hands
Once I held your tiny handsit seemed so hard for you to understand
the world around you was so big
so much to uncover that we had to dig
to find answers to the riddles
I was always caught inside the middle
I used to get lost lookin' in your eyes
it was so real ,a miniture me in disguise
The happiness that now filled my dreams
was overwhelming by the blessing I had redeemed
I took her in my arms, heard a beating heart
to look back thirty years to when I came to start
the first breath that I took in my mother's hands
The road was paved for me, it was all in God's plans
Now to hold my own is such a joy
to hold a lil' girl as fragile as a toy
It's like a fine china dish plated in gold
my heart was so warm, it'd never grow cold
No price could ever be set on a life
those tiny hands were a blessing from my wife
An all new feeling , I was a dad
I hoped to give them a better life than I had
I thank God for this blessing everyday
He sent me two daughters, I could never turn away
I thank Jesus, the giver of those tiny hands
for the blessings he's enstowed I do now understand
