    Leaving it all Behind

     Death is when the heart stops beating
    and your lungs cease all breathing
    death is a silent state of sleeping
    tell the the world your now leaving

    these thorns that inflict such pain
    rip open my heart leaving these bloodstains
    love seeping from my scars
    now my heart rest with the stars

    it all started the day I died
    hit by a car on the roadside
    left bleeding to leave it all behind
    my killer they never could find

    a hit and run, my life my was done
    is this how it had to end
    no last words for my friends
    I wish life could start again

    well i'm leaving it all behind
    in a new world is where you'll find me
    I've crossed over to the other side
    you may not see, but my soul is free

    I had two lil girls I loved
    hope one day I'll see them above
    now i rest after my death
    Lord reunite me with my own flesh

    I never meant to leave you in pain
    you'll see me again one day
    Your love I've held here like it was yesterday
    when the Lord took me away
