Bit of The Creature
I once knew an old manHe was from Ireland, he was
We met while hiking, we did
I from San Diego to Monterey
He from Los Angeles to ........
Nowhere in particular, said he
A free soul he called himself
Darby O'Toole by name
A very fun loving sort, he was
With only one real vice
He liked to take a few nips
Not all the time, but often
He'd take a nip or two, or ten
A bit of the creature
As he liked to call it
A kindly old soul, was he
Meaning no one harm
Trying to drive away
The little people, they were
With a nip or two, or ten
Just wee bit of the creature
