Thin Walls
It's a lonely desperate placeSome are small, some are large
Three walls of concrete
One of metal bars
A place to keep one in
Some for a little while
Others forever
With nothing to do but time
The thin walls close in
When you've no place to go
Not knowing just when
You'll see the open sky again
Your only freedom comes
When you close your eyes
To dream and hope and pray
Lots of time to sit and think
And wait for the miracle
That finally sets you free
