Meeting At The Waterhole
One by one the cameStrolling through the desert
To reach the small oasis
From all different directions
First two on horseback
Cowboys going home
Then cam three indians
Returning from a hunt
Then one more came crawling in
Lost for four days, wandering all about
A total of ten in all
No one said a word
As they sat and had their fill
They all spent the night
Each one sharing what they had
When morning came, each one took off
Except the man who crawled in
He went with the cowboys
And got a ride into town
Never has such a sight been seen again
They all think of that mysterious night
