Daisies on The Table
Everyday for forty yearsShe walked in to find
Daisies on the table
It was his way to say
" I love you " to her
To give her flowers
Every morning to brighten
Start her day off right
Everyday for forty years
She thought to herself
She was so overwhelmed
By his love for her
That she never told him
She didn't like daisies
Now he has gone to heaven
But he isn't forgotten
Nor would he ever be
For to this day after ten years
She still remembers his love
His last words to her
My life was nothing until
Your sweet presence
Breathed life into it and I
Will be with you forever my love
Even though the flowers are gone now
She still smells their fragrance every morning
