Alone at Last I Die
Life's long journey, twists and turnsMany pains and sorrows abound
Few joys or bits of happiness
Darkness looming on the horizon
The blissful sleep beckons
Never have I felt a kiss on my lips
Never have I seen the ocean at sunrise
Beauty has been lost on me
Only ugliness has been my companion
Never have I loved nor been loved
My past is littered with regret
The evils I have committed are great
No pleasure has ever come from them
The end will come with morn
Leaving nothing or no one behind
Then, alone, at last I die
