Warm Day in January
'twas a mild Monday
This thirteenth day of January
'twas beautiful when I first
laid my eyes upon it at noontime
Squirrels were hunting and playing
Birds singing in the trees
I then ventured out to see
twinges of blue twixt the white clouds
And a gentle, slight cool breeze
filled the air from treetop to blades of grass
Memories of plant life were apparent
from the shades of brown ivy
that trickled up the brick walls
'Tis a good day for a walk in the woods
Perhaps I will see a fox or a deer or two
One ne'er knows what this kind of
off season day will bring forth
