Shiver's Up My Spine
The day started out coolWith a dusting of snow
Then around five or so
It turned bitter cold
Bitterly, bitterly, bitterly cold
BITTERLY cold
It wasn't very warm
Standing in the cold
On a January evening
The icy wind slicing
Like a very sharp knife
Seemed like it took forever
For the bus to come with warmth
I arrived a mile from home
I was greeted with the same
Gosh darn chilly breeze
The temperature board
At the nearby bank read 25 degrees
With that I continued on foot
A leisurely twenty minute walk
Across the bridge of Arctic air
On up the hill and turn right
Then ten more minutes and home
Aided by the icy wind at my back
