Mechanics of Life
Well, there are the initialsThe basics of every life
First we're born and
By the grace of God, we grow
Eventually, somewhere
Along the great highway of life
We turn off at death's gate
So from point A, birth
To point Z, death
All things in between
Are up for grabs, kind of
I mean we always have choices
Different forks in the roads
Depending upon which we choose
It can be either for the better
Or the inevitable, for the worse
Even with all that, we can
Still expect a few surprises
From Heaven above to hell below
Both sides trying to guide us
Down the path they want us to go
