Encounter At Old Man's Cave
Once there were sevenOn their way to Heaven
They rode magnificent steeds
Three black, two brown
One biege, one white
While on their way, it started to rain
So they thought to seek shelter
One saw a cave in the distance
So they rode to take cover
And were hid for awhile
Looking for wood to start a fire
They say a flicker of light
Slowly they walked along the wall
And came upon an old man
He was asleep when they first arrived
But awoke soon after they shuffled in
You've arrived he said
I've been waiting a long time
As he did continue
Now that you're here we can go
The traveler's were puzzled
And asked why he was there
He replied that he was there to help
For there was trouble ahead
And he was their guide to make sure
They all got to Heaven safely
They asked him if he did that very often
Oh yes, everyday he replied
As a shepherd it was his job
To bring the lost sheep back home
Come morning, they mounted their steeds
They all rode right in the pearly gates
At the gate they asked Peter
If they needed to show them any ID
He said no on account of who brought them inside
They then asked Peter
Just who it was that lead them in
Oh him he said, that was the great I AM
With that they bowed and cried
