Bridge of Fear
Most of us enjoy our freedomAlthough we try to maintain
At least a tentative link
With things we know and trust
Have always counted on being around
When we lose that link or it is broken
Somehow or in some fashion, we panic
The bridge is damaged beyond repair
We will try anything to fix it
Too many obstacles in the way
Truth, light, life, love, all stand in the path
If the bridge isn't intact, what will become of me?
How will I survive and move on? Move forward?
It will not be easy to build anew
Different, stronger bridges have to be built
Though not of fear, but of faith
