Beauty in Death
It seems morbid, I knowA little creepy to some
Yet, let me state my case
There is beauty in death
I don't mean in the causes
Naturally not, some are pretty gory
No, I mean take our shells
Look at our bodies, see how they are
At peaceful rest, the final blissful sleep
With no cares, calm, serene, pleasant
No pain, no sorrow, no more agony
In some cases people have seen
A wisp of smoke leave the body
At the very moment of death
Could this be our spirits moving on?
If so, see how God keeps us going
Creatively, lovingly, beautifully
Allowing us to freely leave, living on
Once our human forms have ceased
There is beauty in death, as in all things
God has graciously, mercifully given it to us all
