Gray People
Not bad or goodShadows in the elevator
The others running along the sidewalk
Phantoms all around our lives
The peons, the gophers, the little people
The ones we take for granted
No one knows their plight
For we, the extraordinary breed
Delight in not knowing the riff raff
But someday their ships may come in
And we, the select, had better beware
Watch out for the gray people
For who knows, we may become
The gray people instead
